History

Kim Eiji joined the female pop group Baby VOX in 1997. She was one of the two original members who stayed with the group until it's disbandment in 2006. While Eiji eventually became the rapper, she didn't start out that way. She was just another cute vocalist and only became the rapper after the second generation of Baby VOX was formed. Kim Eiji's father was a former lieutenat in the navy. Eiji has admitted that she is from a strict Christian family, and she was harshly scolded by her father when it was found out that Eiji had joined Baby VOX in 1997 without her father's persmission. Kim Eiji enjoys shopping as a hobby. Her favorite color is pink and she once decorated her room completely in pink. She is also known for her flexibility and was asked to join the basketball team when she was in primary school. Many consider her the best dancer in the group, although most fans believe that truley to be Shim Eunjin. When in Baby VOX, Eiji had been assigned the 'sexy' role in the group, although she doesn't see herself as sexy and as easy-going; not the usual celebrity type. As the leader, she maintained the neutrality in the team. She is very understanding and was an advisor, or mentor, to the members. She might have been one of the oldest members, but she has a young spirit. She claims she is very strong and overcomes most pain. She likes to be organized and keep everything neat.

When Baby VOX members started leaving in 2005, Kim Eiji stayed with the group. Along with Lee Heejin and Kan Miyoun, Eiji was determined to make Baby VOX work as a three member group. She participated in photoshoots and media events with the two remaining Baby VOX members, but in March of 2006, Baby VOX eventually broke up.

For a while after the break-up, Kim Eiji was quiet. She then popped up as an MC for cable tv channel MNET. She held the position for a year, also while working on becoming an actress. Throughout 2006 to early 2008, Kim Eiji has been seen at numerous public events. While not as active as some of the other now solo members of Baby VOX, Eiji still has a high fan base and continues to work and make a name for herself.

In May 2008, Kim Eiji made a small but amazing stage comeback! She had a rapping part in the singer Peter's new song, Like a Flower. Eiji performed the song many times on stage and really created a frenzy!

Kim Eiji's next steps are to prepare to be an actress. She is relaxing and working on her acting skills. All fans know that whenever she decides to make her acting debut, she will have everyone's full support!
